DUT NEEDS MAXIMUM POINTS AGAINST HOWARD

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) football team will be looking to put one foot to the championships when they face the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal (UKZN) Howard College.
DUT is now sitting second on the University Sports South Africa (USSA) league, just two points behind log leaders, UKZN Edgewood Collage.
The two teams met in the first round and Edgewood suffered a 4-0 loss at home. DUT needs just three points from the next two games in order to qualify for the championships.
The UKZN Edgewood team is currently sitting at the bottom of the league with just six points from twelves games. Edgewood skipper Sandile Masuku said that they will not go easy on DUT.
“Although we know that we are out on the league title race but we are going there to make DUT run for their money,” said Masuku.
After a very tight win over the Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT), DUT will be looking to pick up where they left.
Goals from Themba Zondo and Sfiso Nxumalo where enough to secure a 2-1 win for DUT when they played MUT at MUT Sports Ground on Saturday afternoon.
DUT defender Sfiso Nxumalo said that Saturday’s game is the most important of them all.
“If we win this game it will mean a lot to the team and also to all the DUT students and I will put us one step closer to the USSA Championships in Free State in December,” said Nxumalo.
Nxumalo edge all DUT student to come and support their team as they will need it the most.

day, as players, that will motivate us,” concluded Nxumalo.
The game will kick-off at 14h00 at Curries Fountain Sports Ground on Saturday 19 September 2015.
