PROTEAS FAST BOWLER RETIRES
The Proteas fast bowler, Dale Steyn, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Tuesday, 31 August 2021 via his twitter account. He said that his decision was fully influenced by the Covid-19 pandemic, his age (38)was one of the consideration sin his decision to retire, he added that he looked forward to start his life again after spending 18 years of playing professional cricket.

“I guess Covid-19 kind of made me see things differently, it wasn’t fun anymore. And if it’s not fun then it’s not worth doing,” Steyn said.
He made his professional debut in 2003 in a first-class game for Northerns. Steyn is the highest Test wicket-taker with 439 wickets in 93 games.
