Former Ukhozi producer, Msizi Nkosi has died
Social media was abuzz with fans and friends of well-known radio and tv show producer, Msizi Edgar Nkosi(34) expressing their shock at the stars sudden passing.
In a somber Facebook post, a family friend posted on behalf of the Nkosi family a note informing Nkosi’s friends of his tragic passing on the 15 August 2021. It was revealed that Nkosi had passed away in car accident, on the Mandeni N2, when his vehicle collided with truck.
His sister, Sphelele Nkosi confirmed that the accident occurred around Mandeni and that it was a truck that emerged into his lane, and he died instantly on the scene.
Msizi Nkosi had vast industry experience, having worked behind the scenes on television Head of Content for SABC 1’s talk show Daily Thetha, Khumbul’ekhaya, 3Talk with Noleen, Take5 and Zola7. In 2016, Nkosi released his best-seller, a book titled ‘I’m a different mess than I was yesterday’ ,in it he delves into his harsh up bringing and how he made in the city of gold,
He is was popularly known for his controversial topics on a show he produce on Ukhozi FM, called Nethezeka Nokhozi, and equally controversial dismissal from the radios station, he was at the time accused of neglecting his work.
He had delved into business and philanthropy at the of his death, running a Facebook page where followers could anonymously request for help and other Facebook friends would intervene and offer assistance .
His sister, Sphelele said her brother loved his family and was passionate about his work.
“My brother was a straight talker, bold and a very creative person and had so much love and passion for his work. He touched
so many lives with his book,” she said.
Msizi Edgar Nkosi will be laid to rest on Saturday, 21 August 2022
